[UPDATED] The PS4 will cost $399 USD and $549 AUD

Well, what was unexpected.

Sony confirmed at their E3 2013 Press Conference that the PS4 will cost $399 USD. That’s $100 less than Microsoft’s Xbox One.

UPDATE: We’ve just heard from PlayStation Australia and the price of the PS4 in Australia at launch will be $549 AUD. That’s a bit of a discrepancy from American pricing, but still cheaper.
