The PS4 may be running Star Wars games under PS2 emulation

Digital Foundry believes that several Star Wars games are being run on PS4 using PS2 emulation.

The site suggests Star Wars titles Racer Revenge, Jedi Starfighter and Bounty Hunter, all re-released on PlayStation alongside Star Wars: Battlefront use said emulation.

The titles in question run at a higher resolution and with improved performance than their PS2 counterparts. The titles also support PlayStation Trophies.

Check out Digital Foundry’s report, below:

Sony’s remained tight-lipped on this one, but if emulation is on the cards, expect an announcement at 5 December’s PlayStation Experience event.
