The PlayStation Network is down

Update: The PlayStation Network is back up, with all services now reporting as operational.

Original story: The PlayStation Network is down, Sony has confirmed via its service status page.

According to Sony, all aspects of the PlayStation Network are encountering issues, including account management, gaming and social, PlayStation Video and the PlayStation Store.

The outages impact PS3, PS4, PS5, PS Vita, web services and “other”, according to further details of each failure.

Crucially, the issues mean that players will not be able to sign in, create accounts or edit account details at this time. Players may also “have difficulty launching games, apps or network features.” Finally, players will alsohave issues buying, downloading, redeeming codes or browsing the PlayStation Store.
