The PlayStation Network has a planned outage this Thursday

The European PlayStation Blog has just advised that the PlayStation Network will be down for “scheduled maintenance” for 16 hours starting this Thursday.

In Melbourne/Sydney/Brisbane, the outage will take place between 8.00 am Thursday 26 July and 12.01 am Friday 27 July.

During this outage, you won’t have any access to the PlayStation Store, account management or registration. Sony has said though that “if you wish to play online during the maintenance, then you may be able to do so if you sign into the PSN before the start of the maintenance window.”

It’s only 16 hours — be strong, gamers!
