The PlayStation 4 is region-free

Sony head Shuhei Yoshida does more than just make videos bagging out the Xbox One’s DRM. He also confirms that Sony’s PS4 is region-free.

Like the PS3 before it, Sony’s new console will play game discs that originate from any country. Not that we’re condoning purchasing titles outside of Australia, but you’re good to go if you.

What do you think of this news? Is it the final nail in the Xbox One’s coffin, or is a feature that very little gamers will actually use?
