The Outer Worlds Switch release scheduled for March

The wait is almost over — The Outer Worlds Switch release date has been locked in for March 2020.

Those on Switch can expect the RPG — one we named best RPG of 2019 here at Stevivor — from 6 March 2020. Physical copies will be offered, but they’re actually just placeholders for a digital download.

“The Outer Worlds has something for everyone — like intricately designed RPGs that have come before it, I found myself plotting my next moves while at work or even playing hockey, desperate to get back into its world and continue my journey,” we said of the title back in our review.

The Outer Worlds will receive DLC in 2020, it’s already been confirmed. The title is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4; it heads to Switch in March.

Steve Wright

Steve's the owner and Editor-in-Chief of Stevivor.com, the country’s leading independent video games outlet. Steve arrived in Australia back in 2001 on what was meant to be a three-month working holiday before deciding to emigrate and, eventually, becoming a citizen.

Stevivor is a combination of ‘Steve’ and ‘Survivor’, which made more sense back in 2001 when Jeff Probst was up in Queensland. The site started as Steve’s travel blog before transitioning over into video games.

Aside from video games, Steve has interests in hockey and Star Trek, playing the former and helping to cover video games about the latter on TrekMovie.com. By day, Steve works as the communications manager of the peak body representing Victorians as they age.
