The next Xbox is codenamed Project Helix, will run PC games

And that's all we know.

The name of the next Xbox is codenamed Project Helix, according to new Xbox head Asha Sharma.

“Project Helix will lead in performance and play your Xbox and PC games,” Sharma said on Twitter, doubling down on a system that will function more like a ROG Xbox Ally, seemingly, than a traditional console.

“Looking forward to chatting about this more with partners and studios at my first GDC next week,” Sharma added.

It’s unclear when to expect the next Xbox at this stage, nor what it will cost. Industry-wide shortages of RAM and SSDs surely don’t help either matter.

We’ll keep you posted as we learn more about the next Xbox.
