Tearaway fastens itself to the PS Vita

Late last week, Sony Computer Entertainment sent through details of an adorable looking PS Vita game by Media Molecule — the team behind LittleBigPlanet — called Tearaway.

While I feel the trailer is a little too long for it’s own good, take a look — maybe skip to about 45 seconds in to really get a sense of the game’s look, its gameplay, and it’s Vita-specific features.

Now you get why it’s called Tearaway, yeah?

The location featured in the trailer is Sogport, “just one of the stops you’ll make as you go on your delivery adventure in the world of Tearaway,” says Sony. “Sogport [is] a mysterious island marooned in a deep sea of glue, and inhabited by some very fishy folk with a fearful obsession with the island’s monstrous local wildlife.”

A release date for Tearaway has not been set, though the game is expected sometime this year for PS Vita.
