Taiko no Tatsujin drumming games head to the west in November

Update: Bandai Namco Australia has confirmed local availability with Stevivor. We’ll get the game on the same day as everyone else — 2 November.

Original story: Taiko no Tatsujin drumming games have been confirmed for western release on both PS4 and Switch in November.

The titles — Drum ‘n’ Fun on Switch and Drum Session on PS4 — have been confirmed for North America and Europe (we’re attempting to confirm Australian availability now) and will drop on 2 November.

Already available in Japan, Drum ‘n’ Fun uses the console’s Joy-Cons as drumsticks, though touchscreen and button-based controls are also available. The game includes 20 mini-games and also make use of Splatoon and Kirby characters. A demo for the title is available on the Japanese eShop.

Drum Session will feature online play and characters Hatsune Miku and Hello Kitty.

Both drumming games include songs from the likes of Neon Genesis Evangelion, Dragon Ball, One Piece and even content from Disney’s Frozen and Zootopia.

Check out both games in the trailer below.

Both Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum ‘n’ Fun (Switch) and Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum Session (PS4) will be available from 2 November.
