Supermassive making one of two Dead by Daylight spin-offs

Yes, please.

Supermassive, the dev behind narrative adventures like Until Dawn and The Quarry, are making one of two newly announced Dead by Daylight spin-off games.

Supermassive’s title will be a single-player interactive story with new characters and “an intense narrative experience filled with powerful life-or-death choices set within the backdrop of Dead by Daylight,” according to a press release.

Scavengers dev Midwinter Entertainment will helm the second spin-off, which has been described by it and Dead by Daylight‘s Behaviour Interactive as a multiplayer co-op affair that “will tackle themes of greed and lust for power”.

These aren’t the first Dead by Daylight spin-offs; a dating sim called Hooked On You was made available last year.

There’s a lot going on within Dead by Daylight itself. A new chapter is available from 13 June called End Transmission. It is followed by the inclusion of Nicolas Cage as a Survivor later this year.

We’ll keep you informed of these new projects as we learn more.

Dead by Daylight is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and Switch.
