Super Mario Bros movie Nintendo Direct coming 7 October

It's time to see how Chris Pratt does Mario.

A new Super Mario Bros movie Nintendo Direct has been scheduled for this Friday, 7 October, in Australia.

We can expect movie news — and likely our first real look at how Chris Pratt handles the voice of Mario Mario — from 7.05 am AEDT. We’ll also get the movie’s first real trailer as part of the experience.

While Nintendo stressed that “no game information” will be included in the presentation, it didn’t detail how long the livestream will run.

We’ve embedded the presentation below so you can get to watching come Friday. In the meantime, are you excited for the Super Mario Bros movie? Let us know why or why not.

Today’s news comes after Nintendo’s confirmation it has transitioned Dynamo Pictures into the new christened Nintendo Pictures studio.

The Super Mario feature film was originally planned for a 21 December 2021 release and is now expected in 2023.
