Street Fighter 6 announced, more news coming mid-2022

There's not much to work with as yet.

Street Fighter 6 was today announced by Capcom, with a promise that more information on the fighting game would come mid-2022.

“It’s official: Street Fighter 6 is in development,” Capcom said alongside a teaser trailer, below. “Stay tuned for more news coming Summer 2022.”

The video itself features Luke and Ryu, giving players a small idea of Street Fighter 6‘s art style.

Moreover, Yusuke Hashimoto — a game designer on the likes of Bayonetta, Resident Evil 3, Resident Evil 4 and Street Fighter Alpha 3 — has confirmed he’s working on this newest sequel.

We’ll have more on the fighter as it’s announced; we suspect it’ll be a long wait until June or July of this year for rabid fans. The last entry in the franchise, Street Fighter 5, was a PlayStation platform exclusive; it’s as yet unclear as to which platforms this sequel will be available on.
