Star Trek Picard Season 2 officially confirmed by CBS

Star Trek Picard Season 2 has officially been confirmed by CBS.

“The energy and excitement around the premiere of Star Trek: Picard has reached a magnitude greater than all of us at CBS All Access could have hoped for,” Julie McNamara, Executive Vice President of Original Content at CBS All Access said in a press release.

“We’re thrilled to announce plans for a second season before the series’ debut, and we are confident that Star Trek fans and new viewers alike will be captured by the stellar cast and creative team’s meticulously crafted story when it premieres on Jan. 23.”

We already knew Star Trek Picard was happening thanks to official public documents that detailed a $20.45 million USD grant from the California Film Commission, the most a single show has ever received.

Star Trek: Picard will debut on 24 January 2020 on both CBS All Access in America, Crave in Canada and Amazon Prime Video elsewhere.
