Star Trek Online Both Worlds expansion warps in 23 January

Star Trek Online Both Worlds is the name of the MMORPG’s next big expansion and will feature Captains Ezri Dax and Harry Kim alongside The Borg King.

Star Trek Online Both Worlds continues last season’s multiverse story following a misunderstanding with the Tholians and the tearing of the Reality Vortex,” Gearbox Publishing said of the new expansion.

“In this new update, you’ll need to infiltrate the Mirror Borg Unicomplex, a technological labyrinth guarded by relentless Borg, to sever the vortex and save the multiverse,” Gearbox continued. “At the heart of this nightmare awaits the Borg King, the architect of this multiversal threat. Will you prevail against impossible odds and rewrite the fate of reality?”

Both Nicole de Boer and Garrett Wang will reprise their roles of Captain Ezri Dax and Captain Harry Kim, respectively. They’ll be joined by Kipleigh Brown as returning character Admiral Kuumaarke.

The expansion’s new episode will be coupled with a new Task Force Operation called “Battle of Wolf 359”, a new King and Collective event, and a new Picard Season 3 lockbox.

Players can expect Star Trek Online Both Worldsa 14th anniversary celebration for the long-running title, from 23 January on Windows PC. A console release will follow.
