Star Trek Online Age of Discovery Starter Pack detailed

A Star Trek Online Age of Discovery Starter Pack has been detailed by Perfect World Entertainment.

“Players can jumpstart their careers as a Starfleet Cadet with the Age of Discovery Starter Pack,” the publisher declared.

“The package offers unique rewards that will help Captains with their exploration into the Discovery universe. Most notably, this includes a new variant of the Walker Class that can be used as soon as players complete the tutorial. The new type of starship offers Hull and Shield values that continue to scale up with Captains as they continue this career (all the way to level 30!).”

Available alongside the launch of the game’s new content, the Starter Pack contains the following:

  • Walker-class Prototype Light Exploration Cruiser
  • 12 Additional Inventory Slots
  • 1x Large (150,000) Experience Bonus Pool
  • Discovery-era Phaser Sniper Rifle
  • Discovery-era Phaser Stun Bolt Pistol
  • Tardigrade Vanity Pet

The Walker-class vessel is shown above; we’ve seen one in action inside Star Trek: Discovery thanks to Captain Phillipa’s vessel, The U.S.S. Shenzhou.

The Starter Pack will be available for an introductory price of 750 Zen at its launch, and will revert to its regular price of 1.500 Zen shortly afterward. For more info, head here.

Star Trek Online Age of Discovery heads to PC and Mac on 9 October. A console release will follow, though a release date has yet to be specified.
