Star Trek Lower Decks mobile game coming 2022

It's a collaboration between Mighty Kingdom and East Side Games.

Star Trek Lower Decks mobile game is coming in 2022, thanks to a partnership between Australia’s Mighty Kingdom and Canada’s East Side Games.

The free-to-play title doesn’t have a name as yet, but will launch later this year on iOS and Android devices. The title is, of course, the one referenced by both developers back in January of this year; in an annoucement, they said they were working on a title set within a “popular legacy sci-fi franchise”.

“The Star Trek franchise has had an unmistakable influence on adults and children alike for over 50 years. Being able to bring such a storied franchise to mobile in our trademark idle-game style is an honour for us here at ESGG,” said East Side Games CEO Darcy Taylor. “We’re looking forward to sharing this new experience in the Star Trek franchise with everyone from new audiences to Star Trek super fans.”

East Side Games says it will pair its Game Kit-Idle technology with Mighty Kingdom’s mobile know-how. That means gameplay comes in the form of tasks (and automations) triggered by a click.

You can download an early access version of the title here on iOS or here on Android; you can also sign up for updates on the title right here.

Star Trek Lower Decks Seasons 1 & 2 are both currently available to stream on Amazon Prime Video in Australia. Season 3 is expected later this year.
