Star Trek Discovery season 3 confirmed by CBS

Star Trek Discovery season 3 was today confirmed by CBS for CBS All Access and Netflix.

Thanks to Variety, we know that Star Trek: Discovery was renewed for its third season alongside news of an additional showrunner, Michelle Paradise. Paradise has served as co-Executive Producer on the CW’s The Originals and writer on the CW’s Hart of Dixie.

“Michelle joined us midway through season two and energized the room with her ferocious knowledge of Trek,” current showrunner, Alex Kurtzman, said of his new partner.

“Her grasp of character and story detail, her drive and her focus have already become essential in ensuring the Trek legacy, and her fresh perspective always keeps us looking forward. I’m proud to say Michelle and I are officially running Star Trek: Discovery together.”

Star Trek: Discovery’s second season is currently airing on CBS All Access in the USA, Space in Canada and Netflix around the rest of the world, including Australia.
