Star Trek Discovery Aftermath is a comic that picks up after season 2

Star Trek Discovery Aftermath is a new comic book series published by IDW that will continue on where the CBS All Access’ second series left off.

The three-issue series will be co-written by Kristen Beyer and Mike Johnson and will be drawn by Tony Shasteen. Beyer also serves as a writer on Star Trek: Discovery itself. And before you ask, it won’t follow the U.S.S. Discovery itself but instead focus on the U.S.S. Enterprise, under command of Captain Christopher Pike.

“In the aftermath of the 2019 finale, everything in Discovery has changed, and as L’Rell and Pike try to negotiate a fragile peace, Spock finds himself grappling with the fallout from what happened with Michael Burnham – and the mysteries about her still left to unravel,” IDW said, setting the tone of the mini-series.

The first of the three-issue series will be available in August.

Star Trek: Discovery has been picked up for a third season; it’s expected in 2020. Star Trek: Discovery seasons 1 and 2 are currently available on CBS All Access in the USA, Space in Canada and Netflix around the world.
