Star Trek Bridge Crew no longer needs a VR headset

Star Trek Bridge Crew no longer needs a VR headset on PS4 or PC, Ubisoft today detailed.

“More players can now live out their Star Trek fantasies as they take command of the USS Aegis and USS Enterprise NCC-1701 using a mouse and keyboard, or a controller,” Ubisoft detailed in a new press release.

Moreover, multiplayer matchmaking will work seamlessly between those with and without VR.

We’ve asked Ubisoft if an Xbox One release is now planned, given the news.

Star Trek: Bridge Crew is currently available on Windows PC and PS4. It works with Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and PlayStation VR headsets. We reviewed it here.
