Stage 9 petition started by fans, aims to save Star Trek TNG simulator

Stage 9 fans have started a Change.org petition in an effort to save the Star Trek: The Next Generation simulator.

As Stevivor reported last week, the developers of the not-for-profit recently received a cease and desist request from CBS, the rights’ holder of Star TrekAs such, the developers have stopped production of the simulator. As you’d expect, Star Trek fans aren’t thrilled with CBS’ decision.

“This is a disheartening, knee jerk response to a wonderful fan project that can do no harm to CBS or Star Trek,” wrote Trevor Marks, just one of many signatories on the petition. “Look past legal convenience and do right by your fans.”

Should you wish to add your voice to the discussion, the petition is available here. At the time of writing, the petition has 1,668 of 2,500 desired signatures.
