The Spider-Man Collector’s Edition statue is a big spoiler

The Spider-Man Collector’s Edition statue is a major spoiler, Insomniac Games has today confirmed.

When the special edition was announced back in April 2018, Insomniac advised that the appearance of an included statue would be revealed in the northern hemisphere’s Summer 2018. Over the weekend, Insomniac’s James Stevenson has said that’s not going to happen anytime soon.

Stevenson took to Twitter to say the statue’s appearance wouldn’t be revealed ahead of release, and moreover, that “players shouldn’t look at it until the[y] finish the game.”

Must be an impressive statue, eh? I can’t imagine what would be so huge that it would need to be packaged in a way that keeps the piece from prying eyes.

a lot to take in, eh?

Spider-Man is a PS4 exclusive available from 7 September. We’ve everything you need to know about the game here, and a series of interviews with James Stevenson here.
