Spider-Man 2 PC release coming January 2025

Your patience is paying off, PC players.

The Spider-Man 2 PC release date has been set for 31 January 2025 here in Australia, Sony has today confirmed.

Seeing as how that’s my birthday, maybe Sony will give me a birthday present by talking with me about it? Fingers crossed.

At any rate, the PC port is being handled by Sony first-party studio Nixxes Software, who will pick up where original dev Insomniac Games has left off.

“Bringing Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales to a new audience on PC together with Insomniac and Marvel Games has been a great experience for us at Nixxes,” said Nixxes Julian Huijbregts.

“We are excited to continue this collaboration and bring Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 to PC with a suite of enhanced features, including enhanced ray-tracing options, to take full advantage of a variety of setups and configurations.”

We gave Spider-Man 2 a 9/10 in our PS5 review. The title is already available on PS5 and heads to Windows PC on 31 January 2025.

Steve's the owner and Editor-in-Chief of Stevivor.com, the country’s leading independent video games outlet. Steve arrived in Australia back in 2001 on what was meant to be a three-month working holiday before deciding to emigrate and, eventually, becoming a citizen.

Stevivor is a combination of ‘Steve’ and ‘Survivor’, which made more sense back in 2001 when Jeff Probst was up in Queensland. The site started as Steve’s travel blog before transitioning over into video games.

Aside from video games, Steve has interests in hockey and Star Trek, playing the former and helping to cover video games about the latter on TrekMovie.com. By day, Steve works as the communications manager of the peak body representing Victorians as they age.
