Spider-Man 2 gameplay revealed in new trailer

Though we don't have a release date as yet.

Spider-Man 2 gameplay was today revealed in a new trailer by Sony and Insomniac Games.

“Kraven’s Hunters are in pursuit of Dr. Curt Connors, AKA The Lizard, and Spider-Men, Peter Parker and Miles Morales, need to stop them,” Sony said alongside the new trailer.

As you can see in the gameplay trailer, its thumbnail, and a promotion image, Peter Parker’s rocking the symbiote that will eventually become his nemesis Venom. With a new suit comes new powers, and they’re all on display in the trailer.

“Beyond serving looks, our Symbiote-bound hero has some new tricks up his sleeve,” Insomniac Games said in a post on the PlayStation Blog.

“We’re no stranger to Spider-Man knocking heads, but never like this: he’s much more aggressive and punches certainly aren’t being pulled. Symbiote tendrils aggrandize Spider-Man’s silhouette, slamming foes against hard surfaces, dealing no mercy to Kraven’s Hunters.”

Frankly, it looks great.

Spider-Man 2 is expected in September 2023 (thanks, Venom!) on PS5.
