South of Midnight PS5, Switch 2 release coming in 2026

Xbox exclusive no more.

Another Xbox console exclusive is no more, with South of Midnight heading to PS5 and Switch 2 in 2026.

“Every creature holds a secret in the mythical Deep South – South of Midnight launches on PlayStation 5 in Spring 2026,” developer Compulsion Games said on Twitter ahead of an announcement as South of Midnight won The Game Awards’ Games for Impact category.

We awarded the title a 8.5/10 review back in April of this year.

“An incredible mix of exploration, story, and setting, South of Midnight certainly resonated with me,” I wrote at the time. “While its individual parts mightn’t be groundbreaking, the way in which Compulsion Games has combined them certainly is. This is definitely one worth checking out.”

South of Midnight is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X, also part of Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. It heads to PS5 and Switch in Australian’s autumn 2026.
