SoundCloud apps now available on Windows 10, Xbox One

New SoundCloud apps are now available on both Windows PC and Xbox One.

According to a post on Xbox Wire, the apps provide “access to the world’s largest, constantly expanding mix of music from emerging talent and the world’s biggest artists.”

The app offers the following:

  • Use familiar SoundCloud features, including your favorite tracks and newest releases
  • Use your voice to play and skip tracks using Cortana
  • Find new artists and songs that you can’t find anywhere else to create unique playlists—discover new remixes from well-known and up-and-coming artists
  • The ability to pin playlists to the Home screen

The app will work with subscriptions of any type — SoundCloud Free, SoundCloud Go, or SoundCloud Go+.

The SoundCloud app is available on Xbox One; the SoundCloud Beta app is available on Windows 10 PCs.

Steve's the owner and Editor-in-Chief of Stevivor.com, the country’s leading independent video games outlet. Steve arrived in Australia back in 2001 on what was meant to be a three-month working holiday before deciding to emigrate and, eventually, becoming a citizen.

Stevivor is a combination of ‘Steve’ and ‘Survivor’, which made more sense back in 2001 when Jeff Probst was up in Queensland. The site started as Steve’s travel blog before transitioning over into video games.

Aside from video games, Steve has interests in hockey and Star Trek, playing the former and helping to cover video games about the latter on TrekMovie.com. By day, Steve works as the communications manager of the peak body representing Victorians as they age.
