Sony’s latest PlayStation Stars loyalty program winds down from July

You can redeem rewards as long as you've got points left.

Sony’s latest iteration of its PlayStation Stars loyalty program will end, with progress and status benefits ending on 24 July here in Australia before a full closure later in November.

“As part of our ongoing commitment to evolve and adapt to the latest trends in the gaming community, we’ve made the decision to end the current version of PlayStation Stars to refocus and build upon our efforts for the future,” Sony said in an email to members.

“You can still complete Campaigns, level up and enjoy your status benefits, and earn rewards (Points or Digital Collectibles) until [24 July 2025 1.00 am AEST],” Sony continued. “After this time, there will no longer be Campaigns or levels, and you will not be able to earn any additional rewards or status benefits.”

Members will be able to redeem their earned points for rewards “until they expire”.

“This version of PlayStation Stars will officially end on 2 November 2026, and will no longer be accessible after this date,” Sony confirmed.

Don’t worry though: Sony’s version of NFTs will remain accessible by your account.

“Your Digital Collectibles are still yours to keep—even if you cancel your PlayStation Stars membership and after this version of PlayStation Stars ends.”
