Sony to sell 30th Anniversary editions of PS5 consoles, peripherals

And we'll be able to pre-order from 26 September.

Sony will sell a range of 30th Anniversary editions of PS5 consoles, and peripherals, it today announced.

On offer are 30th Anniversary PS5s, PS5 Pros, DualSense and DualSense Edge controllers, and the PlayStation Portal. All devices are in the familiar shade of grey first sported by the original PlayStation, while console bundles come with additional goodies.

Here’s what to expect.

  • PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary bundle ($1,649.95 AUD)
    • New 2TB console (learn more here), plus matching DualSense, DualSense Edge, charger, charging station, and cover for a disc drive (that isn’t included)
    • Original PlayStation controller-style cable connector housing
    • Four PlayStation Shapes cable ties
    • PlayStation sticker
    • Limited Edition PlayStation Poster (1 of 30 possible designs)
    • PlayStation Paperclip
  • PS5 Digital Edition 30th Anniversary bundle (shown above; AUD price unknown)
    • Console, plus matching DualSense, and cover for a disc drive (that isn’t included)
    • Original PlayStation controller-style cable connector housing
    • Four PlayStation Shapes cable ties
    • PlayStation sticker
    • Limited Edition PlayStation Poster (1 of 30 possible designs)
    • PlayStation Paperclip

  • PlayStation Portal 30th Anniversary edition (AUD price unknown)

Countries including Austria, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, The Netherlands, and the USA can pre-order all of the above items from 26 September. Here in Australia, where PlayStation Direct isn’t supported, we’ll be able to pre-order “starting September 26 at participating retailers”. Pre-orders for the 30th Anniversary PS5 itself will open from 10 October.
