Sony to discontinue PS5 camera adapter for PS VR

Don't have one yet? Get cracking!

Sony will discontinue its PS5 camera adapter for the original PlayStation VR system (PS VR), it’s recently announced.

“As of November 26, 2024, or until supplies last, the PlayStation Camera adapter will no longer be available,” Sony said via a support page

If you’ve not got an adapter yet, you can use this form to request one, keeping in mind that you’ll need the serial number from your PlayStation VR unit.

It’s also very important to point out that this adapter is not needed for PlayStation VR2 on PS5 — the adapter is specifically for the original VR unit that debuted with the PS4. Got that? Good!
