Sony partners with Shadows of the Damned Director to create new IP

Ovosonico, a new studio founded by Shadows of the Damned Director Massimo Guarini, issued a press release yesterday that confirmed they’re working on a new IP through a partnership with Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios Europe.

“There has never been a better time to contribute to the growth of the video games industry,” Guarini said. “Ovosonico aims to challenge convention, to push the boundaries further and expand our medium by delivering innovative, emotionally engaging games that deeply resonate with people.”

And… well, that’s pretty much all we know. Despite some title dropping — it’s like name dropping, but with games — Guarini didn’t say much about the new IP; instead, he reminded us all that he’s worked on Shadows of the Damned and Naruto – Rise of a Ninja in the past.

When we know more about this mysterious new IP, we’ll let you know.
