Sony offering a 10% discount in the PlayStation Store as an apology for holiday outages

As an apology to users for outages experienced during the holiday season, Sony is providing all gamers a one-time 10% discount in pretty much the entirety of the PlayStation Store.

The discount will run between 23-26 January and those wanting to take advantage will need a code at checkout. While the European and North American PlayStation Twitter accounts have yet to release the required code, the Japanese one — 8PLLN4L3DQ — is already known.

The discount applies to everything but PlayStation Plus subscriptions, Music Unlimited purchases and movie rentals.

The European and North American PlayStation Blogs have more information. We’ll keep Australians updated on how to redeem the discount when it’s outlined for us.
