Sony, Microsoft both to host a multitude of next-gen launch parties

Sony and Microsoft are ready to let loose and celebrate their next-gen offerings with a series of launch day parties around the world.

Sony’s hosting major events in New York this week, where hopeful Americans can try to get their hands on newly released stock that will be sold in New York’s High Line attraction. They’ll also take over Times Square, with Ryan Lewis and Macklemore performing live in front of Best Buy.

Closer to home, our very own Leo Stevenson will attend a launch party this Friday, hosted by Sony Australia in Sydney.

Microsoft’s holding their own planned events in Sydney, New York, Los Angeles, London, Berlin, Paris, Vienna, Sao Paulo, and Toronto. They’ll also be streaming on Spike TV and Xbox Live.

No matter where you are in the world, there seems to be a launch event happening near you. Keep those eyes peeled for chances to attend!
