Sony may be adding Trophies to its PC games

TrueTrophies has spotted a new Trophy Set type.

Sony may be adding Trophy support to its PC games, a report by TrueTrophies has concluded.

The site — which scans the PlayStation Network for all things Trophy related and helps players to earn them — spotted a new Trophy Set type called “PSPC”.

“With a little bit of digging, we were able to confirm that the ‘PSPC’ platform listing referred to a new platform separate from the PS5, yet one that might still connect to the PS5 platform,” it stated.

While unconfirmed by Sony, the site concludes that “there’s a chance Sony is actively testing trophies for its PlayStation PC games” and from that set type — perhaps “PlayStation PC” — we believe they’re on to something.

We’ll keep you informed as more is known. While Sony does release some of its titles to PC, they’re usually sometime after the release on PlayStation proper (take Spider-Man 2 as a good example); that said, Helldivers 2 is planned for a simultaneous release on both PS5 and Windows PC.
