Sony distributes free game codes for the 2011 hack of the PlayStation Network

Those who filled out a rather large claim form after the 2011 hack of the PlayStation Network should now expect free game codes from Sony in compensation for the downtime.

Sony has been sending codes to affected users since 2 March, compensating users on the PlayStation Network, Qriocity and the Sony Online Entertainment network.

Codes for a number of PS, PS Vita and PSP games are available and include titles like inFamous, LittleBigPlanet and God of War HD Collection. A couple of themes are also on offer.

The amount users can claim depends on which services they belonged to at the time of the hack. If PlayStation users claimed a free title as part of the “Welcome Back” promotion, they’ll be able to grab one more at this time. Those that didn’t, as you’d expect, can claim two now.
