Sonic Mania Plus release date set for mid-July

Sonic Mania Plus, the upgraded version of Sonic Mania, heads to PC and consoles in July, Sega has announced.

The enhanced title comes with content that didn’t feature in the original, including a four-player Competition Mode, remixed stages via Encore Mode and two new playable characters: Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel.

Those players who already own Sonic Mania will be able to upgrade their title to Plus for $4.99 USD across PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch.

Sonic Mania Plus will be available from 17 July on Windows PC via Steam, Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
