Konami will host a special Silent Hill livestream in the early hours of 20 October locally.

Players can expect the show, which will provide “the lastest updates for the Silent Hill series,” from 8.00 am AEDT on 20 October.

“In your restless dreams, do you see that town? The latest updates for the Silent Hill series, will be revealed during the [Silent Hill] Transmission,” Konami said in a tweet.

As we’ve previously reported, rumours of a Silent Hill sequel have been floating in the ether since February of last yearBlair Witch and Layers of Fear’Bloober Team is reportedly attached to the project. More recently, images that were potentially from the next Silent Hill game were posted to the internet before being forcibly removed by Konami; a Korean ratings board suggests the title is called Silent Hill The Short Message.
