Shenmue III: Suzuki wants $10 million USD from Kickstarter

Shenmue creator and Shenmue III lead Yu Suzuki has said he’s looking for at least $10million USD of funding from Kickstarter in order to make the game a true open world experience.

So, to translate, if you want to drive forklifts in Shenmue III, you’d better get funding.

“I will say this: if we reach the $5 million mark, one of the things I really want to do with Shenmue 3 will become a reality,” Suzuku said in a Reddit AMA.

“At $10 million, it will truly have the features of an open world.”

At the moment, the Shenmue III Kickstarter is at $3.5million USD.
