Sea of Thieves Steam release set for 3 June

The Sea of Thieves Steam release will hit Windows PCs from 3 June, Microsoft and Rare have today confirmed.

Available for $39.99 USD, the title will features cross-play and cross-progression between Xbox One and Windows PC via Windows 10 or Steam. To do this, Steam players will be required to link the Xbox Live gamertag when playing.

For those thinking about taking the plunge (or the re…plunge?) be aware that you’ll have to buy the game outright even if you already own it on another platform. A full FAQ list is available for perusal if you’re interested.

Sea of Thieves is already available on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC; it heads to Windows PC via Steam on 3 June.
