Sea of Thieves free with an Xbox One X for limited time

Update: An Xbox Australia representative has confirmed Australian and New Zealand availability with Stevivor. The free title is accessible with the purchase of an Xbox One X between 20-26 March.

Participating retailers are as follows:

Australia

  • EB Games
  • JB Hi Fi
  • Harvey Norman

New Zealand

  • EB Games
  • JB Hi Fi
  • Harvey Norman
  • PB Tech
  • Mighty Ape

Original story: Sea of Thieves will be bundled with the purchase of an Xbox One X for a limited time, Microsoft recently advised.

Available now through 24 March, Microsoft did specify that “start and end dates will vary by market, so you’ll want to check with your local retailer for more information.” We’re checking with Microsoft Australia now to see what’s what close to home.

Sea of Thieves heads to Windows PC and Xbox One as part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program on 20 March. The title is also part of the Xbox Game Pass subscription program… so there’s no real need to buy a new console if you want to get the game for the cheapest price possible.
