Scream returns for its third season… with Ghostface

The Scream television series will return for a third season after shifting from MTV to VH1.

The show will feature a new cast and will air as a mini-series running from 8-10 July in two-hour episodes. The show will star RJ Cyler, Mary J. Blige, Keke Palmer, Tyler Posey, Giorgia Whigham, Jessica Sula, C.J. Wallace and Giullian Yao Gioiello. Paris Jackson will also guest star.

Most importantly, Scream‘s third season, called Resurrection, will feature the iconic Ghostface mask rather than the unique mask used in the show’s first two seasons.

Scream is available on Netflix here in Australia if you’d like to catch up ahead of season 3… though there’s no word as yet on how Aussies will be able to watch the new content. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more.

Back in the world of video games, Scream‘s Ghostface was added to Dead by Daylight back in May.
