Is Ubisoft hinting at a Far Cry 3 remake or sequel?

Ubisoft’s French social media accounts are going out of their way to reference Far Cry 3, leading many to believe a remake or sequel is on the way.

First, take a look at Ubisoft France’s posts.

Translated from French, this post’s caption reads, “An island that we never really left. Does that remind you of something? :P” A similar image also appeared on Facebook.

Another post deals with Vaas, arguably considered Far Cry‘s fiercest antagonist.

Translated, this Instagram post’s caption reads, “Have I already given you the definition of the word ‘madness’?” – Vaas, Far Cry 3.

So what does it all mean? Maybe nothing. It could also mean Ubisoft is laying the groundwork for a Far Cry 3 reveal at this year’s E3.

We’ll keep you posted.

Far Cry 3 is available now on Windows PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, and via backwards compatibility on Xbox OneWe reviewed it here.
