The Xbox One may soon offer TV DVR functionality

A new report suggests that the Xbox One will soon offer its DVR feature set to TV rather than just games.

Tech blogger Paul Thurrott has cited sources who say Windows 10 will offer the TV DVR option as a replacement for Windows Media Centre, which will not be included in Windows 10.

Thurrott’s sources also insisted that the TV DVR functionality will be powered by Xbox One and not a Windows 10 PC.

The sources didn’t divulge a release date for the function.

We’ll keep readers informed on this matter as it progresses.
