Sony considering the PS4.5 to better support VR, 4K

Kotaku reports that Sony is working on an upgraded PS4 — a PS4.5, if you will — with more processing power to better support VR and 4K.

The site says sources allege that the upgraded console will feature a new GPU, designed to support 4K resolution and enable higher graphical fidelity in VR.

Kotaku continued to say that Sony was briefing stakeholders on the upgraded console at GDC last week.

Sony hasn’t commented on the rumour.
