Remedy’s first game with Epic rumoured to be Alan Wake 2

Please let this be real...

The first of two games coming from a partnership between Remedy and Epic Games is rumoured to be none other than Alan Wake 2.

The rumour comes from VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb, who says that Epic offered Remedy the best deal to make the long-awaited sequel.

Back in March 2020, Remedy and Epic Games declared they had signed a partnership to produce two new games under the Epic Games Publishing banner. Later in August that same year, Remedy confirmed that it was working on “a future… game that also takes place in [the] same universe [as Alan Wake and Control].”

Control‘s last major piece of DLC, AWE, cemented Alan Wake and Control in the same universe, one Remedy is calling the “Remedy Connected Universe”.

Neither Remedy nor Epic Games have confirmed Alan Wake 2, but we’ll keep you posted as we learn more.
