The Last of Us Part 2 allegedly delayed for Death Stranding

The Last of Us Part 2 was allegedly delayed to make room for the release of Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding, a new report suggests.

Kotaku’s Jason Schreier recently made the suggestion, also correctly alleging that Death Stranding would release in November ahead of a formal announcement.

“Looks like Death Stranding is about to get announced for a November release. The Last of Us 2 was also planned for fall 2019 but I actually just heard it got bumped to early 2020, possibly February? Either way, wild final year for PS4,” Schreier said on Twitter.

If Schreier’s correct, we’ll see The Last of Us: Part 2 in early 2020. It’s unsure when Sony will confirm this; the publisher will be absent from E3 2019 this year.

We’ll keep you posted as we learn more of The Last of Us: Part 2.
