Halo Infinite multiplayer surprise launch may be 16 November

Happy anniversary, Xbox and Halo!

Halo Infinite multiplayer surprise launch may take place as early as 16 November here in Australia, new reports suggest.

First, mined Xbox Store data suggests that Infinite‘s multiplayer “PreOrderReleaseDate” is set for 2021-11-15, or 15 November… which corresponds to the 20th anniversary of both Xbox and Halo in North America (that’s 16 November for us Aussies).

Next, NatetheHate2, an influencer who routinely deals in leaks, took to Twitter to say he could “independently confirm & share with you today that Halo Infinite multiplayer will be made available on Monday, November 15.”

A special 20th anniversary livestream has been planned by Microsoft to coincide with its milestone, and while Xbox Game Studios’ Matt Booty said that new new games would be announced during the event, he certainly didn’t say we’d be going without a surprise or two.

We’ll keep you informed as we learn more. The Xbox 20th anniversary livestream kicks off at 5.00 am AEDT on 16 November here in Australia.
