Forza Motorsport 7 will headline Project Scorpio’s true-4K capabilities

Microsoft plans to use Forza Motorsport 7 to show off the power of Project Scorpio and its 4K capability, according to a new report.

Windows Central reports that Microsoft will announced Forza Motorsport 7 as the Project Scorpio’s headline title in the next couple of weeks. Sources have told the site that Forza 7 looks “utterly stunning” in true-4K.

The site continues to report that there will be a number of  “4K games out of the box, due to change resilience.” Titles include third-party offerings Red Dead Redemption 2, Star Wars: Battlefront 2the next Call of Duty (rumoured to be Call of Duty: WWII) alongside Microsoft’s own Crackdown 3 and State of Decay 2. Titles currently running in 900p to 1080p will be scaled to 4K on Scorpio.

Microsoft is still deciding whether it will showcase Project Scorpio ahead of E3, or at E3 itself.

We’ll report back as we learn more.
