Dead Space remake coming late 2022: report

It'd make a nice holiday gift, eh?

The Dead Space remake recently announced by EA and EA Motive is aiming for a late 2022 release, a report from GamesBeat alleges.

The release target comes via “sources familiar with development,” the site proclaims.

For its part, EA is keeping quiet.

“We haven’t shared a release date for the game, and we don’t have any comment based on the current rumor and speculation,” a spokesperson has told GamesBeat. “But we’re glad people are excited for the game!”

EA certainly has that last bit right — announced in late July, fans seem to be extremely excited about a completely remade survival horror shooter. A recent earnings call suggested the title was still “a little ways out”.

The original Dead Space was released in 2008 for Windows PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. Expect this new Dead Space on Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PS5.
