Dead Space reimagining coming from EA Motive: report

Please be true, please be true...

Dead Space reimaginging is reportedly in the works at EA Motive, according to a series of reports.

GamesBeat’s Jeff Grubb furthered claims of a new entry in the popular survival horror franchise on his YouTube show, with Eurogamer later corroborating them as well.

Back in March, Grubb and his co-host said that EA Motive was working on “an established IP,” recently teasing that “we’re going to see it… if we’re not dead first.”

Eurogamer’s Tom Phillips has added news of a new Dead Space entry “tallies with information we’ve also heard”.

According to the reports, the new Dead Space title will be announced during July’s EA Play event, currently scheduled for 23 July here within Australia.

The last Dead Space game to be released was 2013’s Dead Space 3; developer Visceral Games has since been shuttered, but key staffer Glen Schofield has joined PUBG Corp and Striking Distance Studios to make a spooky spiritual successor called The Callisto Protocol.

EA Motive’s latest title is Star Wars Squadrons.
