Apple TV support currently being tested on Xbox consoles

Apple TV support is currently being tested on Xbox consoles, with a select group alleging they’re now able to try an app through the Xbox Insider program.

Twitter users including Tzunami_Sapp have begun to snap screenshots of the Apple TV trial (below). Additional users confirmed access to the trial was available through the Insider app for a short period of time, but no longer appears for new users.

It’s all rather ironic, as Apple and Microsoft are currently at odds over the inclusion of an Xbox Game Pass app on iOS, one that would let subscribers play cloud-based games on their iOS device of choice. Apple’s currently blocked the app from their ecosystem, though it’s rumoured that’s set to change soon.

We’ll keep you up to date as we learn more about either trial app on either ecosystem.
