Is the 2019 Assassin’s Creed game set in Greece?

The next Assassin’s Creed game will be set in Greece, according to a new report.

The rumour comes by way of ComicBook.com, which reports that “several sources linked to Ubisoft” have mentioned the European locale. The site also links a trip made in August 2017 by Brand Art Director, Raphael Lacoste, to Greece as one for work and not pleasure, though it doesn’t appear that any source corroborated the theory.

Ubisoft has yet to comment on the rumour, though has recently released a new piece of DLC, “Curse of the Pharoahs,” for the current Assassin’s Creed title, Origins. We previewed the content here. Additionally, Assassin’s Creed: Rogue Remastered is about to drop on Xbox One and PS4.

We’ll report back as more is known, but in the meantime, what do you make of this rumour?
